VIDEO PRODUCER | DEFENCE CONTENT
Responsibilities
- You are responsible for planning, researching, creating, producing, and presenting video content for various social media channels to help So Drama! Entertainment (SDE) and its key clients engage stakeholders and the general public. You create wide-ranging video content which includes news videos, short films, documentaries, web series, reality series, and corporate videos.
- You are responsible for all aspects of a video production. This includes overseeing concept development and scripting, filming, hosting, editing, and audio balancing. You should constantly source for interesting and relevant topics for video production, and actively seek out opportunities that can be translated into effective video content for various platforms.
- One of your main responsibilities will be to cover local and overseas events and produce event coverage, profile or feature videos, with complementary social media content for digital platforms. In support of this, you need to be comfortable appearing on-camera and hosting productions. You also have to be ready to be deployed locally around Singapore as well as for overseas for shoots when required.
- You will have to work with constraints during planning and make adjustments for on-site shoots and during post-production editing. When required, you may need to produce fast cycle video content for social media as a one-man-operator. You will also have to produce videos to support digital crisis communication and incident response efforts when needed.
- You are expected to stay updated and be on the constant lookout for new technologies, platforms, software, and new methods of content creation. You would need to be comfortable experimenting, trialing and adopting new tools and technologies as part of your work. Your challenge lies in understanding audiences and adapting video productions in accordance with evolving trends and audience interests.
Requirements
- Degree (honours or merit), preferably in the field of communications or a relevant domain, majoring in broadcast journalism or film/video production.
- Polytechnic diploma holders with a strong interest in current affairs and experience in film/video production will also be considered.
- Those with 2 or more years of relevant work experience would have an advantage, including experience producing a range of video content such as light-hearted, humorous, serious content, as well as long-form and short-form content for various platforms.
- Excellent command of English; ability to speak and articulate well with a passion for storytelling, a good eye for visuals and attention to detail.

As a Virtual Production Operator, you will be responsible for operating and managing the Brain Bar—a centralized control hub for real-time virtual production processes. This role involves overseeing the technical execution of virtual production elements during shoots, ensuring smooth operation of systems such as real-time rendering engines, motion capture, and virtual cameras. The VPO plays a critical role in supporting the creative vision by enabling seamless interaction between live-action and virtual environments. You will also be assigned to other exciting projects or tasks where relevant.
Responsibilities
- Operation & Management
- Operate and maintain the Brain Bar during virtual production shoots, managing real-time rendering, virtual cameras, and motion capture systems and ensuring seamless integration with the LED Volume.
- Ensure all virtual production systems are functioning correctly and troubleshoot any technical issues that arise.
- Monitor and adjust real-time visual outputs to ensure consistency with the director's vision.
- Collaboration & Communication
- Work closely with the Virtual Production Supervisor, VFX teams, and other key stakeholders to understand and execute the creative and technical requirements of the project.
- Provide real-time feedback to the production team on the status of virtual assets, environments, and characters during shoots.
- Communicate any technical challenges or limitations to the relevant departments and collaborate on finding solutions.
- System Calibration & Optimization
- Regularly calibrate and optimize virtual production systems, ensuring they are performing at peak efficiency.
- Manage the integration of various virtual production tools, such as Unreal Engine, Unity, or other real-time rendering platforms.
- Implement updates and improvements to the Brain Bar systems as needed to support the evolving needs of the production.
- Pre-Shoot Preparation
- Assist in the setup and testing of virtual production equipment before shoots, including virtual cameras, motion capture systems, and other real-time tools.
- Conduct system checks and dry runs to ensure that all Brain Bar operations are ready for live production.
- On-Set Support:
- Provide on-set support during filming, managing the Brain Bar operations to ensure seamless integration of virtual elements.
- Work with the live-action crew to align virtual production elements with the physical set and camera movements.
- Quickly adapt to changes and challenges on set, making real-time adjustments to ensure production continuity.
